Centre Space was founded in 2012. The space was dreamed up as a new contemporary art gallery concept meant to provide access to a broad spectrum of contemporary practices by ground-breaking artists from the Nunavut, Quebec, Ontario, and beyond. Centre Space is a rentable “white cube” commercial gallery space located at 65 George Street in Toronto’s historic St. Lawrence market district. Since its inception seven years ago, the space has showcased acclaimed artists from Kent Monkman to Kenojuak Ashevak, and has hosted events for organizations like CAMH, Indspire, and more.
